Summer Guthery is the co-founder and Director of the experimental arts non-profit times in downtown Manhattan. Prior to this, she was Artistic Director of Canal Projects in NYC's Soho from 2021-2025. A visionary director and curator with a global perspective, she specializes in building institutions, shaping innovative artistic programs, expanding audiences, and forging international collaborations to elevate contemporary art. Previously, she co-founded directed JOAN and held curatorial roles at LAXART, Performa, and MoMA PS1. Her writing has appeared in Frieze, Artforum, ArtReview, and Art in America. Summer holds an M.A. from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College.
