Selected Individual Works
The works in Squaring the Circle are an exploration into the tension inherent in meditative
journeys. With an awareness of past failures, these works focus intently on the actual
path preferring to open up a new dialogue favoring a negotiation with the present instead
of dependence on an unforeseeable future.
Through photography, video, text, neon and sound these works are a re-evaluation of
techniques of new age theory and the subjective in science. Rather than using hard-edged
scrutinization, these artists explore with humor or earnestness subjects from color
theory to cosmic maps to self-help jargon.
